		<description>I think I had heard about this effect in the past, but I was glad to be reminded about it.  It sure is appealing to think of the effects that small occurrences or changes have on the overall status of an environment.  It sure can be quite accurate in social situations, where a risk taken by one member can cause a large group to follow along.</description>
