This post is timely because I’m planning a couple of trips. I was surprised at your point about attacking a terrorist with the seat strap. It never occurred to me, and I think in reality I would co-operate rather than resist because I’m trapped in a plane with nowhere to run from these guys and I don’t want to anger them.

I also travel alone almost always, out of necessity. That’s why I absolutely agree with your point 8 – to be mentally alert at all times. I think this is the key to staying out of trouble.
