If we look around, we can see that the problem of manifesting your desires is indeed a problem in achieving TRANSITION from one point in life into another, a transition similar to what we know as TRANSMUTATION. Are you trying to attract wealth? Then you are trying to TRANSMUTE from poverty into abundance, almost literally following the old concept of transmuting ordinary metal into gold. Are you trying to attract good relationships? Then you are trying to TRANSMUTE from emptiness to belongingness, or from a painful relationship into a smoother one. Are you trying to attract enlightenment? Then you are trying to TRANSMUTE from ignorance to wisdom, from low consciousness into a higher one.

TRANSMUTATION is transition. Transmutation is change. In the case of the Law of Attraction, it is the much desired and much required change in one’s vibration in order to attract the things you wish to manifest. This change in vibration does not happen instantaneously though. It does not just happen the moment you learned about the law and you desired to leap unto the bandwagon of people waiting for magic to happen to them the moment they received the good news. As there are laws to attraction, there are also principles to transmutation.

Basically, there are TWO KINDS of transmutation. The first is the TRANSMUTATION of the ELEMENTS which germinates from the power of thought. This is the transformation of matter into another form, the transformation of water into wine, the parting of the waters of the sea to give way to people trapped in the midst of a desert. The second one is the TRANSMUTATION of the SPIRIT. This is the kind of transformation emanating from the ABSOLUTE, which for now we shall call as DIVINE ESSENCE or LOVE. This is the kind of transformation we undergo from being a non-believer to a people of faith, from cowardice to bravery, from powerlessness to strength, from darkness to enlightenment.

Unfortunately however, the general thinking today only presumes the TRANSMUTATION of the first kind, which is the transmutation of the elements. We think that since we can control our thoughts, our thoughts could in turn control these elements to give us what we command it to render. And to further defend this thinking, there are principles describing the existence of a subconscious mind, which is also a thought that controls our conscious thoughts programmed through the years since our childhood into the way it is running today. Thus it is explained that the key to transform your thoughts is to transform the subconscious mind. Considering however how well formed this subconscious mind is, you can well imagine its resistance and the effort needed to wield it into the kind of mind we wish it to be. Hence lies our failure in the transmutation of the thought.

What we failed to consider however is something beyond “thought”, something that is even beyond the subconscious thought that resists our conscious intentions and commands. We failed to give weight to our SPIRIT, which is the real key to transmuting even our deepest thoughts.

Have you ever been explained something so logically and rationally correct but you failed to believe in it anyways? Had it been only your thought that really counts, even a subconscious one, you would have needed only to digest what has been explained, repeat it and convince yourself of the soundness of the principle explained to you. It would have been that simple. But is it? Is a sound explanation everything we need in order to really believe? What if we have a lesser level of intellect? A lesser consciousness or understanding perhaps? How do we imbibe and receive what we have been fed in order to influence the strong subconscious mind?

Jesus spoke about this in the Gospels when he talked about being “born again” in the Spirit.

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew. The wind bloweth where it will, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou the teacher of Israel, and understandest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that which we know, and bear witness of that which we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I told you earthly things and ye believe not, how shall ye believe if I tell you heavenly things?” (John 3:6-12, American Standard SpeedBible)

Now the process of actual TRANSMUTATION of the SPIRIT is another area of lengthy discussion and analysis. But what I can give to you now are three important conditions for which a TRANSMUTATION may be able to take place.

1. MALLEABILITY

Before one can be transmuted, one must be capable of being formed. Rigidity is the first problem of transmutation. Where one is not willing to be processed and moulded, transition cannot take place. This is the reason why pain sometimes serves a useful purpose to us. This pain, this brokenness breaks our rigidity, softens us in a way, opens us and allows us to be transformed.

2. PURITY

Purity in this sense means letting go of all the excess matter that clings to us and allowing our true essence to break through. In order to be transmuted, our true self and composition must be exposed. If not, the process may not be fit to our true condition. It can even destroy us.

3. TENACITY

Though one must be malleable and flexible enough, one must also be tenacious enough in order to survive the process one must undergo. Change is never an easy thing. It often requires the shaving away of the excess dross that clings to our true element. It often requires that we be crushed, folded or hammered in order to mould us into our better form. It requires that we endure the present pain and trust the transmutation taking place.

TRANSMUTATION is not a new thing. It is a procees as old as time itself, as old as the earth created by the Divine Transmuter of All. And what could it not achieve if a being as exquisite as a man can be TRANSMUTED from the dust from which he came?

In the case of Christianity, why can't we just approach Jesus who is the One appointed Mediator between God and man?

Further, why approach saints and even angels in the process? Is Jesus' intercession not enough?

And why the need to even approach mortal men for their prayers? Men of lesser powers than the mentioned saints? Men who are nothing compared to the very Son of God?

I have initially thought of the following:

1. The Law of Vibration and Attraction

Per this law, the collective consciousness of a large group vibrating in unison attracts more
power than a few and weaker consciousness.

2. The Key of Transmutation

Prayer is one powerful tool of transmutation wherein our earthly concerns are lifted up unto the spirit planes where it can find fulfillment. In effect, people praying for us act as fellow TRANSMUTERS to carry out our petitions to greater heights than we could have ever accomplished alone.

Just then, Jesus arrives and is quickly approached by the boy's father, asking for the healing of his son. Jesus asks the man if he believes. The man answers, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" Jesus commanded the spirit to depart, and at once, the boy was healed!

After the crowd had left, the disciples asked Jesus why they couldn't drive out the evil spirit. Jesus replied, "This kind can come out only by prayer."

But wasn't it prayer that the disciples uttered when they tried to heal the boy? Why didn't it work? Did they not have enough faith? And why was their faith lacking? What prayer finally drove out the spirit away? It isn't just the prayer of Jesus, but the prayer of the father's child when he proclaimed that he believed.

But what's the difference between his prayer and the prayer of the disciples? Shouldn't the disciples know more of faith than the suffering father did?

The disciples may have had more experiece in their work, but when they came across a difficult case, they themselves started to doubt. And when their hearts were gripped by fear and worry, there was nothing within them that urged them to persevere in their work. They lost their faith, and then they lost their hope, and they had nothing more.

But the father of the child, though he admittedly lacked also in faith had something more. Something that urged him to persevere. Something that urged him to come to Jesus and to try once again. He couldn't just give up. He couldn't bear the sight of his very own son suffering that way. No, he will do everything he can so he can save the boy he loves so much.

And alas, through the hands of Jesus, his son had been saved. Through the hands of Jesus, his prayer had been answered. His was the only prayer that prevailed, the only one who was able to overcome his unbelief. And what prompted him? It was his unquestionable love for his son. It was love.

If I speak in tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophesy and can fathom all mysteries and knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing... Love never fails. (1 Cor. 13:1-2,8)

I believe there is a way by which we can achieve a perfect balance in all these things, for after all, there is only one truth albeit different perspectives in seeing the truth.  If we can just learn to see things in a new way, maybe we can find a new way in living a better and fuller life we all deserve.

A spirituality that is not practical is no spirituality at all, but an illusion, or a dream that cannot be.  Its powers are nonsense, for it cannot be lived.  True spirituality is practical, and covers the connection between the soul and the mind, the body and the spirit.  True spirituality leads to healing, and from here we can seek much of the answers we are looking for in our daily life.

 What do you seek?  Is it wisdom?  Is it some answer to your long uttered prayer?

Let us learn to seek them here where I shall persist to discuss these things - spirituality, prayer, healing and wisdom for living.

SPIRITUALITY

Together we can ponder the mysteries of life be it so called miracles, near death experiences, the invisible force around us, the law of attraction and art of allowing.

Together let us let to go back to ourselves and utter the true desires and cries of our hearts.

Is there any part of you that is in pain and needs healing?  Maybe we can find some of the causes and answers.  Maybe there'll be some words of comfort to accompany you today.

No problem is too small if it bothers you.  No solution is too trivial if it can help alleviate your troubles and bring you closer to the better life you desire. 

I surely do not know most of the answers yet, but I know that as the need arises, we shall all be provided for with more than enough to find our way.

It was kinda embarassing, but I knew the Lord knew my heart and there was no point in hiding anything. I remained true to my feelings, and I asked God for something I've never asked before. I've asked Him to send me a rose, just one. I don't know how it could possibly happen, but I prayed, like a daughter asking something from her dear father. I prayed for a single red rose. I prayed for a small expression of love, a small sign that I am loved, and that I am special as well.

It was a heartfelt prayer, though I never really thought much of it the day after. I guess it was enough for me that I uttered it, and that the Lord heard me. It was already upon God's hands whether to grant the prayer of silly girls like me.

So I went through my activities for the day, attending a seminar in the morning, and meeting my bestfriend afterwards in the afternoon. My friend and I strolled at a mall for a while, and then proceeded to pick up our materials for our upcoming training in Puerto Galera. After picking them up, we tried to find a ride back home. We found it difficult though, and found ourselves trying to find alternative routes.

On our way to EDSA, we chanced upon the Manila Seedling Bank, which we had seen many times before from the outside. A bit curious, we decided to look inside. We were amazed to see such a variety of plants wherever we proceeded. We certainly didn't expect so much there. But it turned out there was even an exhibit at that time from many skilled participants all over the country!

There were plants of all shapes and sizes, of common and rare varieties. There were beautiful flowers everywhere: gerberas, orchids, sunflowers, yellowbells, roses of all colors! Their scent enthralls the senses, their soft and vividly colored petals can't help but delight the eyes. The presentation was just terrific, and it really felt like we've just entered an enchanted garden, far from the harsh activities of men, protected by fairies and elves that guard them night and day.

And suddenly, right in the middle of that garden, I remembered my prayer. My prayer for a single red rose. And I realized, right there and then, that that prayer had been granted far beyond how I expected it to be answered. For right before my eyes lay not just a flower, not just a rose, not just a red rose, not just a bouquet of roses, but hundreds of flowers flourishing, blooming, glorifying the God that answers all of our prayers.

I've only asked for a small emblem of care, but what I received is a mountain of flowers testifying God's immeasurable love for me. I felt so happy. I felt so special and blessed. I believed then that no other girl was able to receive as much that Valentine's Day. No other man could have given as much. But the One who did was the One who loved me, the One who loved me enough to answer that silly prayer for a single lonely rose.
