1. Some bosses don't even know what they're doing. How could they even appreciate what it is that you do?

2. Some bosses use it as a technique to get more and more out of you. If they seem to be easily satisfied, you might not provide them with more!

3. Your boss is rarely your friend nor your soulmate. And if our spouses and partners can't seem to understand us at times, how much more could you expect from your boss?

4. A boss is after all, only a servant of another boss. And more than trying to find ways to express his appreciation on your work, he is trying to look good for some other person up there!

5. Busy bosses rarely have the time or the awareness to objectively assess your work performance and make a fair feedback.

6. Some bosses may even see you as a threat to their positions and would do anything to destroy your self-esteem! (Would you let him do that?)

7. Many bosses have been stuck doing a job they don't like for too long. If they couldn't care enough anymore about their job, how do you expect them to care for yours?

If you're still wondering why its crazy trying to satisfy your boss all the time, just forget it and think of ways by which you can satisfy yourself.
