Who is right and who is wrong?

There are many philosophers and experts of the law, religious experts even, they who seem to know everything and who can win many discussions and arguments as to who is right and who is wrong. But who can really tell which one has wisdom in him? Can we really put God inside a box and tell everyone who He is and who He is not? Can we be absolutely certain what happens after death? Can we be so confident in judging who will go to heaven and who will descend quickly into hell? Who are we at all to say these things? With what authority do we speak?

"Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in a week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted." - (LUKE 18:10-14)
